Known for its value-added distribution, Amherst, NY-based Stampede is the leading distributor of ProAV equipment including LCD/DLP projectors, flat panel displays, and video conferencing equipment. Stampede provides a complete range of brand name presentation equipment to a variety of audio/video, computer, and home theater resellers and integrators in the United States, Canada and Latin America. These resellers rely on Stampede for value-added services in distribution, marketing and solution-based sales.

Stampede annually produces the “Big Book of AV.” This year, the book is an 816-page (25 percent larger than last year’s edition) interactive catalog and companion website (www.BigBookofAV.com) providing hundreds of sales, installation and spec tips for Stampede’s dealers, in addition to product details on more than 5,000 SKUs. The Big Book now features QuickLink® barcodes for the first time.  When scanned with a smart phone, QuickLink® barcodes directly link the user to additional information.  In the case of the Big Book of AV, users will be linked to either a video about the products on the page they are viewing or to one of Stampede’s call center representatives, depending on which barcode they scan. “These barcodes make it easier than ever for our dealers to get the information they need about the products their customers want,” said Kevin Kelly, Stampede’s president and COO. “The Big Book of AV has proven to be a valuable tool for our dealers to grow their businesses.  Adding these barcodes means keeping the Big Book on the cutting edge, and making it an even more powerful tool for dealers.”  In addition to being interactive, the Big Book can once again be customized with a dealer’s logo on the cover to create a personal feel and ownership to the resellers.

Stampede tours the country and produces several dealer shows in each geographic region throughout the year.  Known as the Big Book of AV Tour, Stampede’s dealer shows highlight the latest in product solutions and technical expertise.  Additionally, educational sessions are sponsored by Stampede University which allow integrators to access important renewal and continuing education credits for their professional certifications.  Complete details on each dealer show are available at www.bigbookofavtour.com

Stampede recently acquired Spire Global, the exclusive distributor of Sony video conferencing products in the United States. Stampede is also now the exclusive master distributor for Compunetix video multiparty control units and MediaPointe video streaming technology. The company also distributes Mirial desktop video conferencing products. “Acquiring Spire was a great opportunity to widen our product portfolio with an additional specialty that is meaningful to our dealer base,” said Stampede CEO Mark Wilkins. “Our strategy is to look for additional acquisition opportunities that will strengthen our offering to dealers.”

Stampede has received numerous recognitions, including No. 1 in customer service for North American large screen distributors (2000, Pacific Media Associates), "International Distributor of the Year" (2001, AV Magazine), "Best Managed Company" in the Buffalo Niagara region (2005, Business First), and "Fast Track 50" (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2011, Business First).
